Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 at Stavanger) is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews by music journalists and press. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was recorded for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather as a career. The singer began to write her own songs. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to make her famous rather to help individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence on the world, she began performing them publicly. The piano was first played by her when she was only six and began writing music when she was nine. It was unknown by her family until she was fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. She just loves to write songs. According to her, the music she composes is her way of feeling anything.
